The present study aims to analyze the design of a model of important requirements and constraints for marketing and exporting Iranian products under sanctions. Given the importance of this issue in the current sanctions situation in Iran, accurate and in-depth identification of these important requirements and constraints is essential for adopting appropriate product export strategies. This study is applied in terms of purpose and qualitative in nature. In the qualitative part, data was collected and analyzed using content analysis. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews with academic experts, senior managers of development organizations, and export activists. The research findings indicate two main categories: First, critical requirements include redefining supply chain logistics, financial and banking requirements, market development and new business partners, resistance marketing and branding, and reviewing domestic policies and laws. On the other hand, important constraints include banking and currency transfer barriers, logistics and infrastructure problems, restrictions arising from domestic laws and regulations, international political and security pressures on buyer companies, and competitive constraints in the market and weaknesses in international branding. Finally, two paradigmatic research models were drawn, and based on this, strategies such as developing alternative target markets and focusing on the East axis and improving the competitive quality of products to overcome the sanctions environment were presented. This model can provide a framework for integrated policy making to reduce vulnerabilities and take advantage of export opportunities under sanctions.
